In addition to changes in vision, the patient may have alterations of the field of vision that can be compatible with a good sight.
Glaucoma, stroke, retinal vein thrombosis, laser treatments, diabetes, trauma can cause changes in the visual field.
To be able to drive you must have a good visual field; this exam allows to quantify it.
The examination does not require instillation of drops and lasts about 10 minutes.
It is an objective examination, patient’s collaboration is essential to obtain a reliable examination (useful for diagnosis) .
We use the Humphrey HFA instrument to perform the visual field analysis.
